Integrity, leadership, and intellectual and cultural interests are also considered.

NL Oct 23 1996 - "Vendeland, Morris marry" Rachel Amy Vendeland and Mark Allen Morris were united in marriage Aug. 10 at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Macedonia. Father Joseph Lehane presided over the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Norman and Rosemarie Vendeland of Macedonia and the bridegroom is the son of Ed and Debbie Morris of Macedonia.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white satin gown embellished with pearls, sequins and lace. The gown featured a cathedral-length train adorned with lace and pearls. She wore a pearl tiara headpiece with a finger-tip-length veil. She carried a cascading bouquet of roses, carnations and stephanotis accented by baby's breath.
Music at the ceremony was played by Cleveland Orchestra violinists Steve and Carolyn Warner.
Heather Luke, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Dawn Nicholson and Hallie McDermott, sisters of the bride, and Priscilla Aguila, friend of the bride.
Glenn Mardis, friend of the bridegroom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Scott
Latona, Erik Nemecek and Chris Krintzline, all friends of the bridegroom.
The reception took place at Landerhaven in Mayfield Heights. The newlyweds honeymooned on Maui Island of Hawaii.
The bride is a 1993 graduate of Nordonia High School and a 1996 graduate of Mount Union College. She is a reporter for the News Leader.
The bridegroom is also a 1993 graduate of Nordonia High School and is majoring in chemical engineering at the University of Akron. He is employed at Proto Circuit in Twinsburg.
